Psychosomatics of sinusitis: a description, causes and characteristics of treatment
Sinusitis is a very serious disease as intreatment, and in the manifesting symptoms. It is generally believed that the disease is infectious in nature and develops when the mucosa of the respiratory tract is affected by streptococci or staphylococci that cause inflammation and decay of the maxillary sinuses.
However, very often classical treatment withthe help of antibiotics, surgical punctures, immunomodulators does not bring the final result. The disease only recedes for a while, and then its symptoms come back again, and for the sufferer from them everything starts again. Therefore, sometimes it is necessary to consider sinusitis in terms of psychosomatics.
The first symptoms
Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine immediately that the genyantritis has begun. The first manifestations of ailments are characteristic of a number of colds:
- general lethargy and malaise;
- temperature increase;
- runny nose.
Usually the therapist writes the direction tootolaryngologist when nasal discharge does not last longer than a month, while patients complain of a pressing feeling above the eyebrows and under the eyes, headache and weakness.
In this case, the directly marked contents can be transparent and do not have an unpleasant odor. In this case, doctors recommend to visit not only the ENT, but also an allergist.
Types of genyantritis
There are three types of inflammation of the maxillary sinuses:
Acute form of the disease
The acute form of the disease is characterized by the presence of signs that can not be ignored:
- severe pain in the face and head, with recoil in the ears or teeth;
- tearfulness, bad reaction to bright light;
- spontaneous discharge from the nose, especially when the head is tilted down, purulent discharge of gray, yellow, green, sometimes with seals;
- frequent chills;
- congestion and loss of smell.
The chronic form is a dormant conditionailment. With such a course, the sinusitis becomes aggravated only seasonally or when the person is stiff, regularly exposed to drafts and the like. The most inconspicuous clinical situation for this disease, which is usually mistaken for purged ears, is simply SARS or aching teeth.
The allergic variety characterizes a permanent runny nose with clear secretions, a sensation of irritation and dryness in the nose, flaky eyes and sneezing.
Sinusitis, psychosomatic: causes
The usual sources of this complex disease include:
- congenital or acquired anomalies, for example, the curvature of the septum of the nose;
- transferred infectious and viral diseases;
- polyps in the nose;
- external factors favoring allergies;
- fungal infections.
If the reason lies in one of these factors, then one of the accepted methods of treatment will cope with the disease:
In case of relapse or general absencethe root of the disease should be sought in the emotional state of the patient. It is necessary to carefully analyze sinusitis. Psychosomatics here, most likely, plays not the last role.
Psychosomatics of sinusitis
The popular saying that all diseases fromnerves, often finds confirmation. Excluding fungal infections and other objective causes, including possible allergens, for the appearance of regular inflammation of the maxillary sinuses, you should pay attention to the state of the nervous system and the psyche. There is such a thing as psychosomatic diseases, sinusitis often occurs precisely for psychological reasons.
There are certain factors that cause sinusitis:
- frequent or prolonged stress;
- a state of frustration;
- general depression;
- a sense of lack of demand and unfulfilledness;
- constant resentment combined with self-pity;
- chronic emotional fatigue;
- the need to prove something to others.
The list of emotional complications can be continued. There are infinitely many reasons for tears and feelings, and, having no way out, being held back for a long time inside, they will inevitably lead to illness. And since psychosomatics began to work, the acute maxillary sinusitis soon becomes chronic. It's only a matter of time.
In what way is psychosomatics manifested? Genyantritis is directly related to unplaited tears, however paradoxical it may sound. The thing is that with artificially restrained crying, the paranasal sinuses are not cleared. On the contrary, the moisture and mucus produced in these sinuses remains. Because the person deliberately did not cry. An extremely favorable soil is formed for the growth and activity of bacteria. This is psychosomatic, as a result of which sinusitis appears, and with it can not cope with any medicine, washing and puncture.
Sinusitis in children
Separately, it is necessary to single out the reasons for the emergenceinflammations of adenoids and, of course, maxillary sinuses, in children. Unlike adults, growing organisms are much stronger with respect to immunity, they tolerate diseases more easily and recover faster.
However, constant sniffing of the nose - not at allrarity. Before you start to carry the baby in the doctor's offices and endless procedures, or stuff the baby's nose with all sorts of drops, it's worth considering whether everything is good for the child emotionally. Psychosomatics of sinusitis in children practically does not differ from an adult.
To the psychosomatic reasons of the sinusitis form two seemingly opposite factors:
- lack of love, attention, approval, support and care from adults;
- an overabundance of adoration, a hyperope, excessive attention, obsessive concern.
In the first variant the child feelsunnecessary, superfluous. If excessive sensitivity and exactingness are added to the lack of attention to the perceived toddler, then the child does not simply realize himself to be alone, he is forced to constantly meet the expectations of adults and justify their vision of himself. This is a terrible stress that generates permanent internally held tears and, accordingly, leads to sinusitis.
In the second type of behavior of adults, the baby suffersfrom the inability to express oneself, to do at least something independently. As a rule, it starts with the inability to get dirty in infancy, fall on the playground, later get a deuce in school, as parents will take all measures to this assessment their children are not put. Such excessive love leads to emotional frustration, the feeling of being locked away from the world in the cage and, of course, to the same unplaited crying, which grows into sinusitis.
Sinusitis in a modern world full of stress,complexities, grievances and disappointments, is encountered more and more often. The best prevention in this regard is peace, peace of mind, harmony with oneself and the outside world, kindness and positive emotions. Despite the fact that it is difficult enough, all the efforts made will justify themselves, and together with resentment, anger, grief from life will go away and sinusitis.
